This week’s meeting will be featuring Erin Hastey, a Medical School Admissions Coordinator! Meetings, as always, are in 5206 Social Sciences at 6pm on Tuesday 10/31! We know it’s Halloween but it’ll be a great opportunity to hear about what medical schools are looking for in applicants like us!
We are also helping with a Food Drive for the Neighborhood House, a community center offering free services such as after-school child care, adult fitness, community meals, and more for people who need it! We will be accepting donations at the meeting and for the rest of this week. See the pictures for recommended items!

Hey guys! What an awesome meeting! Thanks to those of you who paid dues tonight!
That being said, do not venmo UWAED as that is not our club’s account. Our treasurer has his own account that is being transferred to our AED accounts. If you are venmoing us your dues, make sure they are going to the username Edwin-Neumann to ensure you are paying the right person. If you have any questions on this, clarification will be in the email and you are more than welcome to contact the treasurer (Edwin Neumann) with questions. You can find his contact information in the Contact Info Section.
Our second Chapter Meeting is tonight at 6pm in 5206 Sewell Social Sciences! It is easiest to get to our room via the entrance closest to the intersection of Observatory Dr and Charter St. There is one set of glass doors, from which you can see Elizabeth Waters Dorm, and once in the glass doors, it is the wooden door on the left.
We will be hearing from Dr. Garren tonight! He is a Bariatric Surgeon at UW, as well as AED’s faculty advisor! Come hear about his amazing journey to becoming a surgeon.
You will also hear about AED apparel, social media, and upcoming events! Don’t forget to bring your dues! $20 per semester or $25 per year!
